The Conference

The Institute of Internal Auditors - Australia is hosting SOPAC® 2025, Australia’s premier event for internal auditors, risk, governance, assurance and compliance professionals in Melbourne from 31 March to 2 April 2025.

We are excited to announce that the conference will be delivered in a hybrid format integrating the benefits of face-to-face, held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), and virtually. In-person delegates will have the opportunity to participate in the full SOPAC® experience and virtual attendees will have the opportunity to access technical and keynote sessions live online (excluding lunch speaker/s, social events and pre-conference activities)

 

Embracing our theme of “Connect>Support>Advance", SOPAC® 2025 dives into the challenges and opportunities shaping our world, equipping you to navigate today’s complexities while preparing for the future. With a dynamic program of case studies and solution-focused presentations, you will gain practical insights into the vast array of issues impacting the profession. The program will be divided into key areas of focus with sessions being presented on a range of topics in each focus area. There will also be back to basics and advanced spotlight sessions highlighted in the program. 

The Conference

The conference program will reflect current and future challenges that are changing how organisations operate and how the profession can support their organisations to add value during this period of dynamic change.

 

The program will provide a platform to equip the audience with insights and skills to address the contemporary assurance landscape. Sessions will include case studies and solution-based presentations to provide practical insights on undertaking internal audits of various kinds, insights on the impacts of emerging technology, new approaches to risk management, the evolving role of the assurance function, as well as professional skill based sessions to support the growth of the individual and the profession

With a vast array of issues impacting the profession, the program will be divided into focus blocks with sessions being presented on a range of topics in each focus area.
